Are you a musical theatre lover in Reading, looking for a new challenge? Do you dream of performing on stage or working behind the scenes? Look no further than The Sainsbury Singers!
We’re a friendly and talented group, dedicated to bringing the magic of musical theatre to life. With hit productions like Little Shop of Horrors, Made in Dagenham, Guys & Dolls, and Sweeney Todd under our belt, we’re always looking for new members to join us on our next adventure.
Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to the stage, we welcome everyone to come along and see what’s involved. There are plenty of opportunities to participate behind the scenes too — whether it’s helping with props, costumes, makeup, or joining our backstage crew.
With two main musical shows a year, plus local concerts and social events, there’s something for everyone. Rehearsals are held every Monday and Wednesday evening in Southcote, Reading.
By joining the society you’ll be part of something truly special. Not only will you make new friends, but also hone your skills and create unforgettable memories. Simply come along to a rehearsal (or two) to get to know us!

- 26th June: Weekly rehearsals start
- 22nd – 24th October: Get-in, tech and dress run
- 24th – 28th October: Performances
